Rooftop Structure of Steel Structure Building

Rooftop is the envelope component with covering at the top of steel structure building. Rooftop has two main effects. First, the defensive of wind, snow, rain and sun radiation and low temperature in winter,etc. which making the space under the rooftop becoming a good environment. So rooftop of steel structure building design should meet the requirements of the waterproof, heat insulation, sound insulation, fireproofing and etc. The second is to bear wind load, snow load and roof weight on the roof, while also have the function of the level supporting of the top housing. So structural design of steel structure rooftop should ensure the stability, carrying capacity, stiffness of the rooftop component  and overall space.

We should use light roof firstly in addition to the individual having special requirement in order to reduce sectional dimension of bearing structure, save the steel. Materals of light roof should be light weight, high strength, fire resistance, fire protection, thermal insulation and heat insulation performance, simple structure, easy construction and industrial production of construction materials, such as: contour plate, sandwich panel.
