The 2012 rankings of the world’s top steel-producing countries will remain unchanged, China is in first place firmly, Japan and the United States ranked second and third, India is in fourth place, Russia and South Korea will compete for the fifth-largest steel production country. January to November 2012, China’s steel production was 660 million tons, an increase of 2.9%; Japan 98,658,000 tons, down 0.5%; United States 81,442,000 tons, an increase of 3.2%; Russia 64.763 million tons, an increase of 3.0%; Korea 63,497,000 tons , increased 1.6%.
